How I Quit My Job And Moved To The Dot Com Lifestyle

dot com lifestyle

Hello and welcome to my blog, as you are about to read a piece that could be a life-changer for you. I mean living the Dot Com Lifestyle. Before I even start, let me brief you a little about this fabulous lifestyle.

The “Dot Com Lifestyle” is not about luxurious mansions, trappings of celebs-style wealth, the fast cars, the expensive designer wears or having limitless cash in your bank account (Sure, it would be nice, but for the most part, we bloggers are simpler souls with many kinds of dreams. It is about having the freedom and time to do what matters, being your own Boss and giving your life that deserving wonder and experience, including money. I think you like it, right? Lol!!

We want to quit our jobs, spend more time with our families, and finally have time to write. We want the freedom to work when we want, where we want. We want our writing to help people, inspire them, and change them from the inside out.

It’s a modest dream of any blogger or internet guru wish to have, a dream that deserves to come true, and yet a part of you might be wondering.

Will it?

Do you have what it takes to be a professional blogger, or are you just being dumb? Is it realistic to make enough money from this to quit your job, or is that just silly? Can you expect people to fall in love with what you write, or is that just wishful thinking?

Sure, it’s fun to dream about your blog taking off and changing your life, but sometimes you wonder if it’s just that: a dream. This is the real world, and in the real world, dreams don’t come true. Hahaha lol!!

Well, let me tell you my story.

How I quit my job

In September 2014, I was surfing on Facebook and saw an advert from this man Olamosh captioned “how to make $500 monthly whiles blogging”. I was enthused with the caption, which lured me to click on the link to read more about this fantastic Goldmine.

I have been scammed several times on the internet, which has made me lose trust in any online business. What makes me believe this guy was how he was stressing about the type of scams people usually fall for, which I am also a victim of. Without hesitation (because my work was that hectic), I decided to buy his DVD and give it a try.

So I quit My Job.

I turned in my resignation letter, worked for two weeks (because it was exactly two weeks to end the month), and then left for good.

Hearing about my insanity, a friend called and asked me, “Well, what are you going to do now?”

“I don’t know,” I told him. “I’m blogging.” Funny right??

And so that’s what I did.

For the next three months, I didn’t just tinker around with blogging. I dedicated myself to it. I started work at 8 am in the morning, and I kept going until late 1:30 am. I didn’t watch television nor make time for friends. From morning till night, I watched the DVD I bought, writing, reading, and connecting with other bloggers; nothing else.

I then created a niche blog, “,” on the free blogger platform, blogged for almost four months, and decided to buy a domain “”, and move to WordPress. With the help of the same man Olamosh, I moved all my files from blogger to WordPress with ease.

That was when I learned to be smarter, creative, and know-how this blogosphere actually works. I decided to create another blog on entertainment,,” applied for Adsense and got approved on 14 May 2015.

My first payment was $374 from Google Adsense.

And amazingly, that’s just the beginning of the story.

How I moved to The Dot Com Lifestyle

I am now a full-time blogger for God’s sake. I could do my work from anywhere in the world. Why on Earth was I living in this hell hole? Hahahaha Lol

I am not earning all that big, though, but it is ten times better than the job I use to do; there is nobody on my neck as to why I was late for work or any bashing from a “Boss”.

You want to quit your job and become a professional blogger?

You can.

You want to travel around the world, living life to its fullest?

You can.

You want to dedicate every hour to helping people and making the world a better place?

You can.

Listen, I know it’s horribly cliche, but if I can quit my job and then make enough money to support myself, then what can you accomplish if you set your mind to it?

My guess: pretty much anything.

No, it won’t be easy. At some point, I guarantee you’ll want to quit; I guarantee people will treat you like you’re insane; I guarantee you’ll cry yourself to sleep, wondering if you made a horrible mistake,

But never stop believing in yourself. The world is full of naysayers, all of them eager to shout you down at the slightest indication you might transcend mediocrity, but the greatest sin you can commit is to yourself become one of them. Our job isn’t to join that group but to silence it, to accomplish things so great and unimaginable that its members are too awed to speak.

You can do it.

I believe in you.

So get started.

Right freaking now.

NB: You can still do it on part-time bases and move to full-time bases later if things are going on well

You can contact me on Facebook “Gustav TK” on how to get started.
